Just a 1.5 hours out of Seattle, Granite Falls has some amazing camping spots there rival some of the sites I have seen for much longer of a drive. I am learning to love these closer spots to maximize our time outside. We celebrated Cameron and Presley's birthdays with a Pinata and some family visits. The weather was spotty, but we did get some sun breaks between the random wet ones. A cave hike was the highlight which took us down a river's path along an old railroad track. It was really beautiful the whole way and the cave at the end was a nice surprise. David, Sarah, and I continued the bottle of wine night tradition where we each had our own to get silly with. Parks brought some homebrews and rare beers to share as well. Excellent first camping trip for the season!
