Birthday Shred 01.24.10
29 years ago I was born, this was my first birthday shred. I couldn't have asked for a better day or partner to join me today. I was so stoked when she said she wanted to go to the hill this weekend, we made it happen and we destroyed it. I got a voucher for a free lift ticket with my new board, so S got a free ride. The morning was really empty and we sessioned the backside 4 or 5 times finding ourselves on the cat track. Sarah was really feeling that run, she even took some jumps! The grooms were fast and our freshly tuned equipment really shined today. I can't believe how good Sarah is looking on those ski's, so much improvement! We had a late lunch and got back out there on the front side and it started to snow! Talk about a birthday present! S was pretty worn out at this point, but a few runs on an inch of fresh made all the pain go away, it was the perfect consistancy too - so good. Wish we didn't have to leave, but we had so much to do. Lee and Lynn took care of Lola for us so we picked her up on the way home and then had a quick visit at mom's after that. We ended the night at Costas for a Greek birthday feast! It was a perfect 29th year of living celebration.
