Shred Day 12 - 09/10 Season

02.07.10

Music.
I forgot how good it is to ride with tunes. I feel like I haven't been riding the correct way. Thanks Mom for the iPod Shuffle, best new gear alongside my V-Rocker deck. I made a playlist of all my current favorite jammy/electro/dancey/indie tunes and just like her do it's thing. The snow was really great and the hill was empty. Turns were really deep and wide, and all the usual jumps were really sharp. Tye Mill was amazing, on every tree in the center of the run there was this perfect little hit. You could just snake the whole run and hit 5 jumps before it widens out. I sessioned that 5 time or so until I jumped a little high and a brand smacked my face pretty good. Hope it looked cool. The backside was super fast and the visibility was finally clear! I feel like the whole season has been behind fog. I headed to the front at lunch hour and explored Hogs and the terrain park. I did my first board slide on the mini box which was not as scary as I have hyped up. (my biggest problem in this sport) They made these cool boarder cross birms that led you right to the mini boxes, super fun. Today was probably one of my best solo days this season. It had to be all about the tunes, because everything was connecting and everything felt great. It was one of those days you had to make yourself stop and wish you were still riding the next day.
