Shred Day 18 - 09/10 Season

03.13.10

They claim they had 15" in a few days, I am not sure where it went. Maybe all the Friday huckers cleaned it up? We did find some fresh lines in the trees which we should have done more of. Really, not sure why we didn't stick to our usual places. Jason came out of a year long motorcycle-binge and brought along Veron for the quad. We started the day late because the Audi's dead battery, so poor Chris had the driving duty again. (thanks man) The snow was strange in the main areas and really smoked our legs. It was really heavy and difficult to initiate turns. It was pretty deep in the trees and perfect for the little drops we are loving lately. We spent a lot of time on Big Chief's tree side which is turning into a 2010 favorite. There are so many ways to ride that side alongside short lift lines, I kind of love it. Our lunch turned into 2 hours which also killed our day fast. How can they be so understaffed? Two beers turned into a bad idea and we all kinda sucked on the second half. It was kind of a strange day. I ended the day with a park run and had a great line throughout the whole park with clean jumps and hitting both long boxes for the first time.
