Shred Day 08 - 10/11 Season

1.28.11

Northwest Gore-test! I has been 2 weeks since I have ridden. The weather has been horrible this January, HORRIBLE! We finally got some snow, it was VERY wet, but it was something to ride. I got a ride with Pat and Geneva and we rallyed up to meet with Chris and Coco later. We stayed on the front side knowing that the back would have ZERO visibility. It was a battle of making turns, wiping your goggles clear, finding lines, and using the force just to get down the hill. Not perfect for visibility, pretty much the worst I have been in - but the snow was fast and fun to dig into. A little moisture makes the white feel like ball bearings. We found Chris and Coco and pretty much lapped the park the rest of the day. There was a really nice flow to it with lot's of new features. They had these killer rhythm roller, and a huge step-up. I need to break my mind more when I ride these features. I am not afraid, just not confident like I am freeriding. Stoked my AK kit kept me dry all day, I am really sold on Gore - I get it now.
