We have been visiting venues for the last 3 weeks. We basically made a short list of places that interested us and have narrowed it down to 2 venues. These 2 venues would be taking the route of "easy wedding" vs "involved wedding." An easy wedding may cost more, but I think we would enjoy our day more because we would not have to worry about anything except enjoying our day. How can you complain about that? The involved wedding would be a cheaper, but would most likely have to worry more about clean up, dinnerware, glasses, decoration, and a venue that is farther away then desired. I love the idea of a crafty-creative wedding but it takes so much time and effort, and once the snow falls, I am not going to be much of any help on my weekends. Truth hurts.
We both really love our 2 current options. We are going to run the numbers and make a pro/con list for each. I think we need to also remember to step back and look at the whole picture and determine if this is how it all should go down.
We are really excited to make this happen and to show our friends and family a good time. I can promise that the party will kick ass, really can't wait to smile and laugh with everyone on this day.
