Stevens Pass 11.22.09
So good to be home. Stevens Pass, I love you. Never leave me.
Chris and I rolled up with Pat, Geneva, Brendan, and some other hucker friends of Pat. It was a squad but it got split up pretty quick. The 4 of us stayed close the whole time seeking and slashing powder all day. The morning backside was amazing, so much untouched snow! Our first line was probably our best. The Vrocker floated with ease in the sugar fields, damn I love this board. There were tons of drops and jumps all over with the early season coverage. I dropped a few 7 footers and surprised myself on one kicker with a ton of airtime. Guess this thing does have pop, lol. We ran the backside until 1:00 then headed in for some lunch. The second round was short which was fine since it was very choppy and my toes were hurting. Still can't figure out what is going on with my boots, why am I slipping around? It was snowing wet snow the whole day so I was pretty soaked in my tweed coat (erg) and the heavy snow took it's toll on my body as well. The early season legs are better than normal with my off-season workouts but not that much better. So stiff, so good.
