11.28.09 Stevens Pass
When will these wet days stop? Getting tired of wet gear and windy lift rides. I headed up to the hill solo looking to meet up with Chris and Coco later but never did find them. Kinda bummed, but it turned out to be just fine as I spent some time with myself trying to learn my board and some tricks. The snow was kinda icey and hardpack in most places with very limited visability - in short, kinda shitty. The hill lost a ton of snow from the warmer temps and 4 days of rainfall. It did snow all day, but it was wet and rainy. I never really did find a groove but I think that is good because it means I was learning how the board works on days like this. I spent some time on Tye Mill and practiced some butters on Daisy. The backside was crap, so I stayed away from the icey, chopped up groomers and hard packed tree lines. The day was mellow but I think i got a little better with flexing my board and shifting my body weight on flatland tricks.
