Ran solo this Sunday, so I made the best of it. The morning was greeted by one epic sunrise, I had to pull off the road and snap a shot of the Bridge on Lake Union - WOW! The rest of the drive over 520 was equally amazingly orange and pink with a clear view of Rainier. There was 2" of new snow with some leftovers from Saturday. The grooms were great but anything else was not. It was a strange day of a fog umbrella creating twilight visibility with occasional white outs. I spent the morning on the backside chopping up the minimal freshies then moved onto the front while the mountain went to lunch. Packing a Cliff Bar, I decided to hit the park and do some practicing. I spotted these "baby boxes" the weekend before and decided I needed to abuse those before they took them away. I sessioned probably 10 times hitting and hiking until I got comfy. I stayed with the standard 50/50 but was leaning back for slight butters. I wish I tried a board slide, still don't know why I didn't. I was feeling great and ended my solo adventure to a trip to the Sultan Bakery for the first time this season. I was told once to get the pork sandwich, so I did and I wish I just stuck with the standards. It was tasty, but not what I was looking for. Stick with the standards, the bread alone makes a normal sandwich amazing.
