S and I took off for the weekend and stayed at our Seaside resort. Something about being all cozy inside looking at a rainy ocean with a cup of coffee...something about it. We played a ton of board games, hot tubbed in a hail storm, (awesome) had bad sushi, grilled some steaks, walked on the beach, played with some adult Doodles, and hit up the arcade! I think we have our ocean resort entertainment system down, we kinda did the same thing at Ocean Shores. Seaside is weird, I don't think we will head back. Yes, they are all touristy, but there is a energy about this place much different than the others that isn't quite right. Still hard to have a bad time with an ocean view and your favorite person on the planet by your side.
We took a detour to the ocean property on the way home. Sarah's dad had been there earlier in the week to see the destruction with this crazy storm that came through. We now have a perfect ocean view, but you have to hike in now since the road is gone. Where we used to park our cars is now a 12' cliff to the beach. Where there used to be a gate to the property is now beach. It is hard to say what will happen next with the land, but if nothing changes it is still usable and kind of awesome. It truely is the end for Sarah's parents because they can't park the trailor anymore and will have to stay in a Motel for now on. Hope nothing changes, I am not ready to say goodbye yet.
